Background / Highlights of Activity

This training workshop, which was organized by FFTC and its co-organizers, Biodiversity International, Malaysia and Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI), Council of Agriculture (COA), ROC focused on the technical and legal aspects of managing field genebanks. Its objectives are: to provide the participants a clear view of the current issues facing genebanks all over the world; equip them with theoretical and practical knowledge of various aspects of field genebank operations and discuss good management practices on the conservation and utilization of plant materials in field and in vitro genebanks.
