FFTC welcomes new deputy director
The Center warmly welcomes its new Deputy Director, Dr. Takashi Nagai, who just joined the Center last week of October. Dr. Nagai is a livestock expert whose major field is animal reproduction. He was the Director of the Animal Breeding and Reproduction Division, Institute of Livestock and Grassland Science of the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization in Japan. Dr. Nagai finished his PhD at the Kyoto University in 1984. As the new Deputy Director, he will assist the FFTC Director in the daily operations and management of the Center, as well as organize selected conferences and meetings. Dr. Nagai replaced Dr. Hideo Imai, the former deputy director, who retired after working for more than five years in FFTC.
